I've been reading a ton of blogs today trying to get a handle on the reactions to the Inaugural.

One picture posted by the Anchoress caught my attention, and I posted a comment there. I've crossposted it here as well:



My first reaction to this was, "Come on! Isn't this a little over the top?" Yet, a few moments later my initial exasperation drifted into unease. In some dark ancient pool of my mind something whispered, "Unlucky."

I wish Obama well, I'm sure he is already feeling the heavy weight of the responsibility entrusted to him. Messianic sweatshirts can only add to the burden. Tracey at Beyond the Pale says it well (ht: The Anchoress (again!))
